Aspiranet has served more than 400 families in Ventura County with its In-Home Parent Aide Program. This program was created for parents whose children have become dependents of the child welfare system, and who are at risk or have already been removed from their home.
The Aspiranet program aims to teach families how to appropriately function in ways that increase safety and stability in the home environment. Through education and coaching provided by Parent Aides, parents are taught tangible parenting techniques and learn how to successfully implement these techniques.
Services are provided in English and Spanish and are tailored to the unique needs of each family, which are determined through a comprehensive assessment process. Meetings between the family and Parent Aides occur once a week for two hours, and the program can last anywhere between 12 and 16 weeks.
