2012 Holiday Gift Drive

You Can Help Make the Holidays Shine for
Youth and Families In Need

Sometimes the holidays can feel overwhelming, and it’s hard to know what contributions will make the biggest difference for those in need this season. At Aspiranet, we are proud to give you options of where you can make an impact. Our holiday drive helps provide basic necessities and support for our programs that help at-risk children of all ages and their families. If you can’t decide where to make a contribution, you can always make a general donation to Aspiranet, and we will put it to its best possible use.

Here are some other great ways you can get involved and lend a hand this season:

Give a Gift at a Local Starbucks
Your donated gift can help foster youth and students in need across the state. Visit a participating Starbucks store near you:

  • Bakersfield
  • East Bay
  • Fresno
  • Orange
  • Stockton
  • Turlock
  • Visalia
  • San Bernardino/Riverside

Support a Holiday Party
Help foster youth and emancipated foster youth by donating to a holiday party. These celebrations mean the world to youth who often have no close family to turn to this time of year. Programs benefit youth participating in a wide range of support programs in the following areas: Sacramento/Stockton, Turlock, Fresno, Visalia, Bakersfield, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, Ventura, Central Coast, South Bay and Greater Bay Area.

Provide Academic Support & Mentoring
Your donation helps provide school-age children with academic support and mentoring to succeed in school and life through engaging older adults as mentors and tutors in public schools, afterschool classes, and technology training. Check out the work these Aspiranet partners are doing:

  • Experience Corps Bay Area engages older adults (50+) as tutors and mentors in order to increase literacy skills of children in grades K-3. Through this generational exchange, children succeed, older adults thrive, and communities are made stronger.
  • MOUSE Squad of CA (MSCA) Student Tech is the award-winning nonprofit STEM Benchmark in Technology program that enables students in grades 4-12 to increase their confidence and learn Information Technology (IT), customer service, and leadership skills as they troubleshoot their teachers’ computers, TV’s, and other equipment.
  • Oakland Afterschool provides a balance of academic support, enrichment, and fitness activities that complement what children learn in school, and provides a safe place with caring adults in collaboration with community organizations, the school district, educators, and volunteer groups.

Tax Receipt
If you donated a gift, please be sure to visit our tax receipt page to receive a tax-deductible receipt.

Thank you for your support for the thousands of children and families Aspiranet serves across California.
